I have an 89 wag/cherokee and want to put bigger tires on. Right now i just have some 235/75/15 all terrains on but found some 33 mudd tires i would like. I plan on putting a 3 inch lift on soon. I have blocks for the back but just have to finish making coil spacers for the front. Could i fit the 33's on before the lift. I know i may need to do some trimming but can i do it..
here are the tires i want to get

And here are mine now

i really really don't think puttin 33's on a stock rig is smart at all.. yea the tires are cool but don't throw the tires on till there is a lift... your fenders will chew the tires and they'll rub your control arms....
even at 3" i wouldn't go 33" tires... i was running 32's on my 4.5 and i didn't rub but that was barely... but i also didn't trim anything... so its all on your choice... not a very wise choice but still up to you
the next thing you have to think about is gears also.... 33" tires with stock (3.55 gears i'd assume) does not work out very well, while it is still driveable but it will shift funny and gear search

Even with that lift, you will have to cut your fenders to make them fit. Also don't use a 3" spacer block. It will pull the driveline out of the transfer case when fully extended.

I'm at 4.75" in front and 4.5" in rear on 33's. I had to cut my fenders and roll my quarter wheel lips. It was 100% necessary. At 3" on 33's, you basically will have no flex, and won't hardly be able to turn.
we don't rub, we don't have a lack of flex and we can all turn just fine.

youll need to trim alot to fit 33s on stock height. im at 4.5" of lift and i still get rubbing with my 33s when i take tight turns or am flexing on the trails. i woudlnt suggest to even run them with a 3" lift. my best bet would be around 5" of lift
and noone has mentioned the need for offset wheels. I currently am on my 3rd cherokee, my first I ran 33's with 3.5 inches of lift and ALOT of trimming, but I also had wheels with the correct backspacing
