Default Camber mystery! Who can help me?

So, XJ's don't have an adjustable camber, am I right?
Here's what is happening. When I pull forward my driver side front wheel changes angle. Top moves out, bottom in. When I go in reverse it's the opposite. Top moves in, bottom out. I took my wheel off and everything seems to be just fine, which it is obviously far from being. Knuckle is not bent as far as I can tell, I compared it to my buddy's XJ. What else could it be?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like ball joints. You can buy adj ball joints at pretty much any parts store, and then you can play with your caster and camber!

Jack up the front end wheels about three inches from the floor and stick a long bar under the wheel grab the top of the tire and wiggle the bar up and down on the tire while someone looks at the upper and lower ball joints if there is move ment there they are bad. use the bar because most of the time you cant get the movement with just your hands.

ya, didn't think about how hard it would be to move those by hand. I was looking underneath while my buddy rolled back and forward and I watched the wheel move but couldn't tell if the joint was moving or not. Tried to compare it to the solid end which can't move but still can't tell

i dont think this would be it, sounds like yours is a very noticeable angle difference but when i had DW and was diagnosing it, i notice when i lifted my one wheel off the ground and wobbled it by hand, there was play. Turned out the wheel hub was bad (didnt fix the DW though)

This is y I told him to put the front end in the air if the ball joints are not moving he will be able to see where the movement is coming from. If there is play in the wheel as emaxx has said it would be the wheel hub and that can usaully be noticed as he said by hand though most of the time if the hubs are that bad he will have some noise like the brakes are grinding type noise.
