Default Caliper allen bolt size

Having a ton of fun since I bought my 87 XJ. Ran to the hardware store 3 times before I got the right size socket to the drain and fill plugs on the transfer case. I am not going to do that again! Does anyone know the size of the allen bolt that holds the front brake calipers on? It's huge! I want to make one trip only! Thanks!

Buy a set of the hex sockets so you have what you need when you need it. If you need 2 or 3 different sizes during different projects you will typically spend as much for a few pieces as you would for a set.

The early renix's used these asinine allen head bolts that are harder than hell to work with... If one is stuck in there.. its a real ***** to get out...

The size is 7mm... 4wd hardware sells a replacement kit... turns it into a regular 10mm bolt head.
