C8.25 buildup/strength
Ive been reading about rear ends and what not alot recently. I have a 97 with a C8.25 rear end. Havent opened it up just yet. But what ive rear is that a 97 up C8.25 is a pretty strong year end if built correct? Some where i read it could be compared to a D44?
Could i do the same to my C8.25 on my 95? I mean i have both. I could use the money from 1 of the axles. But im not swapping axles til i go and lift to 5" after i get back from basic.
If its a 27 spline 97 is it the same strength as the 95? (dont know the spline either) I do eventually plan on 4.56 gears and a locker. SO. I need some info.

Ok i read up alittle more. Should be a 29 spline. So back to the question of is the 29 spline stronger then the 27? I plan on building up which ever 1 is stronger. Im NOT buying a D44 or some other axle when i can build up the 29 spline.
