A/C problems - And it's hot af! :)
To start, I just got an '01 XJ; 4x4, manual, and 4.0 
Of course, with only a $1400 price tag, the AC was out.
So I vacuumed it down for around 45 min. Sat for about 25 or so and didn't notice any drop in pressure.
Noticed the AC would go hot at times so I took a pressure reading;
The clutch did not disengage and you can hear the fan kick on and off perfectly with the high pressure side. I figured if pressure was too high the clutch would release. This video was also taken before I removed the clutch spacer and cleaned the clutch face.
As of the last couple of days, it hasn't blown cold at all. Ill need to check the pressure again today. Im leaning toward a leak, but Im wondering if there could be more the gauges are telling me. Thoughts?
Another loss of cold air (when it was working) is some of the air was blowing out the defrost vent.
Also, I have a whistling sound when driving at higher speeds. I have discovered this stops when the AC is on and vent selection is not on the re-circulation selection.
Appreciate any help/input!
