1996 4.0 2wd

I saw a couple older post on this, but what I suppose is my A/C clutch is making a terrible noise when the ac is on and I can feel it affecting idle. I intended to just put it off for a bit but it’s hot and it’s getting sketchy. After reading a post about replacing the clutch I’m not sure I wanna take on this project so I’m gonna call around and see how big a hit the ol wallet will take. But is there anything else I should replace/have replaced while I’m focusing on the ac that will make a difference worthwhile? Thanks

 

if it only makes noise when the clutch is on then its probably the compressor locking up..I think compressors are under 200 bucks not worth just replacing clutch
