Hey guys, recently started to notice a literal “buzz” noise coming from the engine. So the hard part about it is it’s only being doing it under acceleration from a dead stop and intermittently. I’ve only notice it happen like I said from a dead stop ie sitting at a light and then going and it really only does it from the top of first and maybe for a second in the bottom of second gear. It almost sounds like a relay buzzing when it goes out but the best way I can describe it is these jeeps make the noise and I have never heard another vehicle make it before, it’s similar to the noise it would make if you used the turn signal without the headlight harness plugged in(don’t ask how I know haha). Kinda a doozie but that all I got, everything works fine and runs great and the sound is coming from the engine bay. It’s a 96 4.0, AW4, NP231.
