What are some common things to look for when buying a jeep Cherokee? I want to be able to look at this jeep, look at some things that would potentially tell me to buy it or not. Thanks

Haha, but seriously and to be of some help here....

The stated thread may help (by posjeepxj), but anyways it all pretty well depends on the years it falls in. Search a bit on here, and spend some time reading, you will find quite a few of threads like this

Generally, look for rust, all over, especially underneath and on the rocker panels.

How many leaks are there? How bad are they? Where are they coming from? What is it leaking, how are the fluid levels/conditions, how much body damage is there (usually would indicate a bigger problem, if it is big time body damage... due to being unibody) how does it drive, does the 4x4 work (if it has it) does it make crazy noises while driving?.....just pretty much general checks that you would do on any car. If you toss a year out, you may get some better detailed answers for specific issues!
