Default buying a cherokee

im in the market for my first jeep i want a cherokee with a 4.0 ive heard good things about this motor i would like to get the older boxey style ones but i came across a 97 with a 4.0 are there anything better or worse between the new and old style cherokees also is 180k miles alot for these motors? ive heard they last forever. also what should i look for when buying a cherokee? and someone told me these are top heavy and roll over? is this true. also whats the difference between a high output and a normal 4.0 and how do you tell them apart. thanks.

i have a 92 high output. i love this thing. but ive heard that the 97 and new heads flow better, so you might have more power out of that 4.0. and ive done drifting on went pavement and snow and i havent tipped over yet. i take turns way to fast with tires squealing. still always upright. only thing i would worry about is dodging a deer going 60 mph. heres a link of what it takes to flip one over.
