Default Busted my AW-4 Range sensor...now what?

My back-up lights were not working on my 97 Cherokee so I set to pulling off the transmission range sensor to clean it. It was stuck so I put the big nut back on the threaded bit and used two screwdrivers to try and get it off. Well, the dang threaded tabs broke off the sensor. I can't really even see why these are needed in the first place. So what do I do now? New sensor? Anyone got one to help a brother out cheap?
