Second line.. you have the 3 then space and 55 denoting a 3:55 gear ratio.

 

ok thank...when i go to the j y should all the numbers on both plates...on min an the one im taking from the jy match or as long as its 3 55...also wht years can i take it from mine is a 97

Just the front axle. $250 isn't a great deal, check craigslist i've seen them for $100 many times. You should have the high pinion dana 30 so any cherokee 84-01 as long as its a hp, if yours is a low pinion I would do the high pinion swap.

84 to 99 are high pinion in XJs. All ZJs have low pinion as well as TJs. If you have ABS you will need one with ABS as well. It will have tone rings on the axles and a wire running to the knuckle for the sensor.

 

i found front dana 30 an frear dana 35...it says from 96 but the picture is a 97 ...but its 150 bucks ...craigslist ...hour an half drive im a go check it out friday...so even if its differnt ratio im swapping both,,,,so binding shouldntt be a prob http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/pts/1666130346.html also abs so hopefully this will work

 

ok i go to pa to get the axles dana 30 front an danna35 rear...for 150 bucks.....come to find out its a danna 44.....kickass
