Yes the bumpers are the same just the plastic molding is different. Mounted the same way and everything. The corners on all of em are plastic, it's just a matter of how much plastic.

Well judging by your avatar you still have plastic on your front bumper. Which means you probably have it on your rear quarters as well. 97+ just have a little more cover the SHEET metal bumper that offers no protection.

Well I'm planning on getting a nice metal bumper built but until then I'm goin to run stock bumpers, I like the 97s more but if it's Gunna be a pain in the *** is rather not deal with it
