Default Bumper Mounting Bolts 1997 Cherokee Sport Utility

Hi All,

Can anyone provide the bolt specs on the two types of bolts needed to mount a stock bumper?

One set of three (each side) is used for mounting the bumper bracket to the frame.

The other set is used to mount the bumper to the frame/bracket

I've looked on line and called a dealer and the only thing i get is "stock bolt"

Thanks all!

I'd have to look in to the three (per side) giant bolts that attach the bracket to the frame - later.

But I think I can help with the other bolts.

The two top bolts are button head Torx bolts, M10x1.5x40mm. The two bottom bolts are M10x1.5x40mm, Flange head - or you could use standard head with a washer.

The top and bottom bolts I spec'd above screw in to Extruded U Nuts, M10x1.5. 4 each required. OEM number 11500662.

Looks like this:

.
Dealer may have them. Here's the item by part number but an odd application.

Not sure on the bolts that hold the bumper bracket to the frame, but the hex head is 17mm which would make them M12. Could be 1.5 or 1.25 thread pitch (can't get at them to verify), and around 30mm long. They also use the extruded U Nuts like above.

Bolt OEM part number 34202219. If you are lucky the dealer may have them.

No part number on the extruded U nuts.
