Default Bump Stops Cherokee XJ 2" Lift?

Hello everyone, I've got a 2" lift kit, Skyjacker Hydro shocks, and 1-1/4" wheel spacers ordered for my 98 Cherokee XJ. I've brushed up on all of the installation instructions and think I'm ready for the installation next weekend as long as the parts arrive on time....can't wait. My only question is what to do about the front & rear bump stops. Can anyone tell me what size front & rear stops I should go with for a 2" lift and where I can find them?

I have the 2" OME on mine and I run 235 75 15 tires with stock bump stops no problems and I can stuff my rear tires all the way up in the fender well.

What size tires? Are shock extended length? In the front you can ge extended stops or just put a couple hockey pucks inside the springs. In the rear you can make a spacer to extend the stop or get longer ones.

I will be presently running 225/75/15's but will hopefully moving up to BF Goodrich TA 235/75/15's or 30". As far as the shocks, I ordered Skyjacker H7016(frt) & H7018(rear) for a 0"-3" lift in the front & a 1"-3" lift in the rear.

The 30's are actually only 29.5 tall so you will be fine.

So will there be any problem with the "extended" shocks bottoming out with the factory bump stops? Additionally, I am running factory wheels and will be installing 1-1/4" wheel spacers to help the stance. I just don't want the tires hitting the factory fender flares.

Here's what he's talking about on Go Jeep's Site.

You need to put on the lift go flex it out and see it may not rub at all. But putting the spacers in may make it rub.

Bump stop are to prevent overcompressing shock and springs, sometimes it can help with rubbing. If you rub it will be at the bottom corners of the flares, and the trimming if needed can be done on the inside, sp it is not really visble from the outside. Your 1-1/4 spacers may cause more rubbing on the fenders than the tires.

Your right, I run a 29 inch tall tire and can completely tuck them in my fender wells with out bottoming my springs front or rear, and I dont rub when I turn offroading.

So do you think the 1.75" extended stops for the front and the 4.1" spacers for the rear in the attached link would work?

http://jeepinoutfitters.com/scripts/...?idCategory=73

The stock front stops presently have 3" clearance before bottoming out. The stock rear bump stops presently installed are 3" tall and have 3" clearance before bottoming out.

I also will keep in mind the hockey pucks for the front and the square tubing for the rear. I guess what it comes down to is that I want to maintan the present 3" clearance in the front & rear. Does this sound correct?
