Default Which budget lift?

Hey all. I have a 2000 XJ that I got a little while ago, and I've already got the urgo to go higher. I'm looking at replacing my current stock-size 225/75's with 31x10.5 Goodyear Duratracs. I only need to go a little higher to clear those, so I'm looking at the RE 2" budget boost, and the RC 3" lift. They're about the same price, so I'm torn.

Any tips?

well if all you want to do is clear 31s make your own bb, go to a pep boys and get on of the 2'' or 3" block kit, then get a front coil spacer pair, also you can get any lift shock that you want. i think you should be ok but other opinions might help.

I go wheeling quite pretty often. I'm looking for something that will be duarable and capable, as well as something to clear my new 31's. Will the blocks be as good as one of the kits I'm looking at?

Thanks.

I did a 3 inch lift by Rough Country a few years back. It was just a set of leaf springs, and coils in the front- and of course shocks. If you are going for economy - it is pretty economical. It was by far the cheapest one I found back then. It is 255 on their site now. It was good for the money. Just my two cents though...

Do not run lift blocks.... trust me on this one... yes they may be cheap but they wear the leafs out and make them sag worse when they go bad......

If you must run BB do a spacer up front and Shackles in the rear.......
but if you have the $$ and the means... then just buy the actual lift kit..
that way your upgrading your suspension intstead of altering it in a cheap and desperate manner
