Yes. If it isn't, and you engage the front axle with the drivetrain, you aren't going to be very happy with what happens! I can see it being okay temporarily, as long as 4wd is not engaged AT ALL (like on a 2wd) but I WOULD NOT reccommend

If you need to run axles with different gear ratios for any reason, you should remove the front driveshaft so you can't accidentally engage 4WD. If that happens, you'll need to start shopping for a new transfer case.

I have a shock and strut question for everyone. What other shocks and struts will fit on a 95 Jeep Cherokee. I have a4 inch lift on the cheek as of now going up to 6" soon

How much modification would it take to bolt up a Jeep Comander brush guard on my XJ? I already have tow hooks.
