broken throttle cable

broken throttle cable
92 Jeep Cherokee broke throttle cable while. Replacing valve cover gasket also replaced spark plugs. wires. distibutor cap rotor crank sensor jeep will no start. it cranks it has spark. and is getting gas. Why will it not.tried a universal cable but keeps slippping. Where can. I get the correct. cable if can

Rockauto.com has it for 21 bucks. I don't think the accelerator cable is going to keep the engine from staring. Did it run before you worked on it?
