Default Broken hood release cable; ways to open it...?

Anyway to open the hood without taking the headlights out? I tried using 2 pliers and grabbing the cable housing and the broken cable end piece, worked before but not working now.

If you cannot pull the cable, you will have to pull the headlights

Get a pair of mechanics gloves grab the metal cable between the engine and the radiator (it's the shiny cable way up high) yank it towards the passenger side. Replace the cable or do what I did put some hood pins in.
