brake upgrades for oversized tires
what are good upgrades that you can do to the braking system on our jeeps? my cousin has a wj and his stock brakes do fine with stopping 32''s but ill be running 33''s and maybe 35''s with a 6.5'' LA kit from RC and i want to upgrade the brakes at some point. what do you suggest, and i need to be able to stick with a 15'' rim
hopefully this is a good convo starter

WJ front brake swap is the best. Upgrades steering too. Many write ups on naxja about it. For less money you can get EBC slotted rotors and yellow stuff pad for front works well too.
I started a post on doing the wj knuckle swap. This would be required for bigger brakes.
Things I have all ready done is the ZJ disc brake swap on to my XJ d44. Also I changed my prop valve spring out for the ZJ one. Made a big differences in braking.
Next upgrade besides the wj knuckle swap will be a different brake booster or maybe even hydroboost. MY rig is trictly offroad so.. for me it is about being able to hold a hill and give it hell. SO I will also be adding line locks front and rear

was planning on that, would you use a JY set up? i found a conversion kit on a web site (i forget which one) for 350$ it sounded like a good price to me because normally calipers run 50-60$ a piece 20-30 for oem rotors and then you need pads and the backing plates and brackets and all that
and that consitis of swapping the whole nuckle? or just the calipers and rotors? i thought WJ and XJ's have different bolt patterns?
The only thing I would do on a jyard rear disc setup is put new pads and e-brake shoes if needed.
The wj swap it the whole knuckle on both sides as well. You also have to relocate you trac bar mount as well as possibly changing your pitman arm.
