I replaced my hard lines on the rear axle, they were 3/16". You can buy brake line in a coil and make your new hard lines but you will need a double flare tool.

3/16 for sure. im doing the exact same thing at the moment. i may be jacking the thread, but anyone know if the rear flex line is a standard or metric style of flare? Im wondering because i went a picked up a 99 Dakota rear flex line because its longer, and its all metric flare style.

3/16 is the correct size. Grab a flaring tool since your gonna need it.

just an update to this thread for other people, so i just fiixed my issue replaced the complete hard line, you'll need a 3/16 x 72 standard and a 3/16 x 32 standard and a 3/16 coupling and a 3/16 to 1/2 fitting, totals up to about $18.00 thats everything you'll need....
