My brake lights won't come on until the peddle is almost all the way down. Switch or adjustment.? ( With cruise control.)
Not sure that switch is adjustable. The plunger is a self-adjusting design that ratchets inward with the brake lever and, once set, cannot be adjusted. I just replaced mine and that's what the instructions that came with it stated. So, leaving the plunger fully extended, you install the switch on the mount brake with a turn-and-lock motion while holding the brake lever away. Then you ease the brake lever back and it "sets" the brake switch plunger to the correct position. If you buy a new switch you'll notice the plunger extends outward pretty far. If you push it in by hand you might collapse it into the switch further than the brake lever does, thereby ruining it, and have to get a replacement.
