Default brake light help

Hello everyone. For starters is a 99 cherokee 4.0 with 118k. My problem is that recently its developed a brake light issue. Sometimes when I hit the brakes my dash lights come on and so do my side makers on the front. It's stops as soon as I let go of the brakes. If I have my head lights on then my brake lights are always on even the third top brake light. Sometimes it does it for a few minutes and sometimes it won't do it for a week. I checked all the bulbs and they seem to be fine and work fine. I also noticed that it does it more when it rains so im thinking something is getting wet and causing this. Any help please?

That's often a bad ground somewhere, power applied to the lights is backfeeding through other bulbs to find a path to ground. Take a good look at the battery to chassis grounds, lamp to chassis grounds.. loose, corroded, damaged wires, that sort of thing.
