brake issues, if you've got the time
Model: Jeep Cherokee 4wd 6 cylinder 4.0 L, 1996.
The brakes started to rub on the cherokee, so I checked out the calipers and ended up replacing them. After replacing the calipers bleeding all lines correctly and such, I have an issue. The pedal goes straight to the floor. If the motor is off, you can build the pedal a little after pumping, but nothing like that when the engine is running. I've checked and rechecked for leaks, disconnects, and all that, I've bled the lines again and again. I narrowed it down to the master cylinder getting some blow-by when the pedal is depressed, so I bit the bullet on the master cylinder, confident that this was the issue. Bench bled the master, put it on, and bled all the lines again. Pedal still goes to the floor.
I'm at the end of my knowledge here, guys, any of you ever have this issue?
NOTE: this is a non-ABS model.

You wouldn't be the first one of us to pull a bonehead stunt like that!

Don't ask me about the time I had my whole intake system torn apart on my roadster when my non-mechanical friend asked, "Are you sure you have gas in it?"
Uh.....
I didn't know whether to kill him or me!

Thanks a lot guys, the right and left calipers got switched somehow. They didn't come with instructions, so I got em on wrong. Well, now I have an extra master cylinder. I'll probably put it in a box somewhere on a shelf just in case. Brakes work like a dream now.
Thanks!
Thanks!
