Default box under rear driverside

Under jeep near rear suspension. Box with what looks like fuel lines. Just got this jeep only rust spot is under seat and this box is attached to rusted out area.what is it? Thanks 99 sport

On the 99 Cherokee, the fuel pump is inside the gas tank.

The part you are looking at is the fuel evaporator canister.

Could be the EVAP charcoal canister.
Could also be the Park brake equilizer. Two cables in the front and one out the back.
