I'm going to bore my throttle body at work. How difficult is it to make a new throttle plate/butterfly valve? I have access to cnc lathes, mills, edm's (Electrical Discharge Machining), and pretty much anything else.

 

wish i knew, your lucky to have all those tools available to you! if all measurement and fittings are exact, you should be good?

 

Their not. Just measured. The throttle plate is not a perfect circle, mind the two flats.

 

If you can't fab one that works you could always try strokedjeep.com. They sell bored out TBs and you might be able to get them to sell you just the butterfly valve.
