which body parts?
so driving home today i lost it around a corner on some ice and now i need a new grill, header panel, and headlight bezels. i have the header panel and headlight trim, but the grill ive got is for a newer style, it doesnt quite fit. does anyone know what year range grill will fit an 87?

ya i do like the look but ive already got the header panel and everything else for free on my parts jeep. i dont think it goes that far because the grill that i have is off of a 94 and none of the screw holes really line up, its just kinda shoved into place haha

Theres a few variances in 84-96 front header panel, grill and headlight surround designs. Most notably the appearance or lack of the "trim" at top of surrounds and grill.
Use the header panel and headlight surrounds off the parts Jeep, then find the correct grill. Put the two grills side by side and you'll see the difference.

1984-1996XJ/1986-1992MJ are a direct swap, paint and stick.
1997-2001XJ can be bolted on with minimal effort, but the all of the front end sheetmetal to make it look purtyful. I am informed that it's a direct bolt-on (paint and stick, again,) but I have yet to verify this personally. I happen to like the older style, but that's just me...
