Body Molding
I am sure I am not the only one with this problem. I have a '99 Sport and the Black body molding and bumper covers are now showing a white buildup that I cant get rid of. Anybody have any suggestions?

It is common. I don't remember the exact cause of it at the moment. It's a chemistry thing. Out gassing and reaction from the road/environmental contaminants. There are many trim restore products out there. What I do is clean the trim well with mild soap and water. I use Simple Green or Saddle Soap. Then I use an appropriate color polish. I prefer the water based shoe polishes. Most of them leave a silicone protective fininsh with not too much gloss.

The tape on mine was giving up and they were an interesting green/grey color. Yanked them off and used El Cheapo rattlecan bed liner:
I plan on doing the bumper caps the same way
