Blower motor short?
Forgive me, I'm not very electrically inclined, but I'm having an issue with my blower motor. I know this is a common issue and I've done alot of reading, but can't seem to find anything specifically addressing my issue.
For reference, I have a 95 xj. I haven't had blowing air in the jeep for over a year now and every time I turn the jeep on, the blower motor fuse gets blown. I didn't realize this until after replacing the blower motor, and blower motor resistor, so I know the motor is good and the resistor is fine... that leaves the blower switch or a relay, right? If I'm not mistaken, a consistently blown fuse indicates a short. My problem is what would be causing the short?
Can a burnt up blower switch cause the short? Can a bad relay cause a short? Or is this likely just some short to ground along the wires? Basically, I'm asking what should I investigate first- if the switch or relay can't cause the short then obviously I need to just look all along the wires, but don't want to do that unless I have to.

XJ blower circuits are known for getting hot and melting at the connectors. That would be a good starting point. Your 95 shouldn't have a relay in the circuit.
