Default Blower Motor only works on high, replaced motor and resistor

Hi,

Replaced the blower motor and the resistor on my 91 xj and it still only works on high. Any suggestions? Fuses all seem to be good.

Thanks

That's odd! Normally when it only works on high it is the resistor. I would start with making sure that the resistor is good and making good contact. If good start checking the switch on the dash and any related wires and relays.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I am pretty sure the resistor is good, the old one looked good, no broken coils. The plug is clean, wouldnt see why there would be bad contact. I am thinking the control on the dash may be bad, it did work fine then just stopped one day.

**edit**

is there any way to test the resistor?

I'd start testing with a multi-meter. Check for continuity thru the resistor...

Just take the resistor back to where you bought it and tell them it's bad and they should give you a new one.
