blower motor makes high pitched squeal?

blower motor makes high pitched squeal?
I have a 94 and yesterday my blower motor was making a very loud squeal noise that would go away on different speeds. Is this a sign that the blower motor is going out? Is the motor real hard to replace? Thanks- Ron.
