Which blower motor? 1996 XJ
Hey guys my blower motor just went out today and it's starting to get cold in MN! I was wondering if I should just run up to oreillys and grab one or order one from Jeep?
It's a 1996 XJ 4.0 h.o.
Thanks!

Don't feel bad, no one answered my post about blower motor either, yet
I hope you get an answer. I'd also like to know if there is a difference between the $90 one at O'Reilly, and the $45 blowers online. Some specify 'comes with fan' and others don't, but I can't understand how they wouldn't all have it.

I would not get one without a fan - it has some weird pressed-on bearing (but its plastic and attached to the blade).
I think I have some pictures from when I changed my heater core out, but I just verified that you can change the blower without removing the heater box;

Check the blower resistor as well, I think you could test it with a multimeter to make sure its working. I honestly have never had a blower actually die on me (bearings start to go and it will howl). The last time this happened to me (in a ford mustang) it was the blower resistor that was the culprit.

Thanks guys, I ended up grabbing one from oreillys for $29.99 it did not come with squirrel cage. Luckily mine came off very easy but I did soak some Zep 45 on it for a few minutes.
One odd thing that happened after install was the blower speed doesn't go all the way to high. There should be 4 speeds, low/low-medium/medium-high/high. They all work fine except high. This happened to me about a year ago when nothing worked accept high so I replaced the part behind the heat controls and it fixed it that time. Could that part have gone bad again?
