Default blocks, or shackles for rear?

what is better, using blocks, or using shackles for the rear for about a 2 inch lift? the shackles at my local autozone don't look as though they would be very sturdy. also, with a 2 inch lift am i gonna have to worry about steering components, or extending the brake lines? thanks!

your break lines will be perfectly fine with a two inch lift. it will not over extend them. as for the lift choice... i would personally go with the shackles because it will allow more flex and movement for your leaf springs.. they will be able to flatten out better than with the stock ones. idk though if they look weak... blocks are like a bodylift.. .all they do is make your vehicle taller and they also make your driveline angles worse.....

you can run into problems with both. get some shackles some a known/trusted manufacturer so you know they will be strong.

best solution IMO if all you want is 2" of lift in the rear is to get a set of 2" leafs. the shackle/block will only last so long and get you so far.

Shackles is the way to go. But stay away from Autozone!!! check out Rusty's Offroad they have great deals. Or if your not too concerned about performance you can check out Rough Country but I wouldn't recomend it. Rusty's is the way to go. Also with only two inches of lift you dont need to worry about steering or brake lines or anything. Any more than two or three inches is where you start running into problems.
