BLOCK HEATERS?
Has anyone ever heard of a block heater running on a 12v power supply? I suppose it would drain the battery pretty quickly and I'm not sure it would be sufficient heat, just curious because I'd like to avoid the extension cord running to my Jeep & plugging it in all the time. Been thinking of a dual-batt setup anyway... Otherwise, anyone recommend any good block heaters? Kinda interested in the simplicity of the dip-stick type but I've heard a lot of good things about the ones that cycle antifreeze while warming it. Thanks!

I'm in upstate NY and it is time to be thinking of block heaters. IMO I like the regular 115V plug in that acts as a "percolator" moving the warmed colant through the system.
