Default Blinkers, help.

My blinkers stopped working. The bulbs are fine and the fuse is fine. What could it be? As well, my blower for the heater quit all in the same day. Thanks

Search threads for turn siganls. I had the same problem several months ago. My hazzards, turn signals would work but not the night lights. I looked at bulbs, fuses etc. I found the wiring harness from the turn signals ran under the air filter box. Under the box there is an 8 or 10 way connector. That is probably where your problem is. The connector wires corrode and break. I went to the dealer to talk to the mechanic who has been working on my jeep to 8 years. I was looking to order a new wiring harness to replace the broken pins. He told me to find the broken wires and solder a jumper wire and bypass the connector. This is what they do at he dealer. They cut out the connector and solder all the wires together. I traced the broken wire and cut them from the connector and there is just enough wire to remove the connector and solder all the wires together. I found there was a lot of corrosion in the wire ends and ended up using quick connectors and bypassed only the broken wires leaving the connector in place since the other wires were ok. Lights work fine now. Will wait until summer to probably solder the the other wires and remove the connector. The connector is located in a bad place, collects a lot of water and dirt.

i had to replace the bulb sockets on my 89 because of corrosion. pull the front bulbs and look at the contacts and make they are clean and tight. you can get replacement sockets at your local auto parts store. i got mine from pepboys because they were the only ones that had them in stock at the time.

Well I got the blinkers and blower working on accident. While the jeep was running I moved the key and all started working again. I guess there is some kind of adjustment that needs to happed in the steering column.
Thanks for the advice.
