Default Blinker lever issue

Alright, so I'm wondering how hard is it to do work on the blinker lever. The snap back feature broke so I have to manually turn the blinkers off. It really doesn't bother me at all, but I'm on winter break, so I need to find something to work on lol. The only thing that really bothers me is every once in a while when you flip the lever, the blinkers won't turn on and it will screech under the dash, but if you push on the lever, it will work normal again.

I had a thing where the little green triangle on the dash would glow slightly for a while after the blinker went off. It annoyed the hell out of me when driving at night. Then it just randomly stopped and everything is back to normal now, haha. My snap back feature also works when it feels like. I usually have to hit the lever back into place whenever I turn. In the city, it does it fine. But it has to be a relatively sharp turn of the wheel, which doesn't happen often when merging from one rural road to the next. Not to mention it doesn't go back very easily. Sometimes when I stop and turn the wheel waiting for traffic, the blinker likes to go out on me before I even turn the wheel back. Then I either have to manually blink the blinker or do it all over again. My blinker lever is all messed up. I have plenty of stories to tell. Ever make the blinkers seem like strobes? Or hold the lever at a certain point to make them on constantly? Yup, been there!
