Default Blend door actuator motor not working

I'm not getting any heat or a/c into my xj's (2000) passenger compartment. Suspecting the blend door, I took a look and found the door moves okay, but it's the actuator motor that doesn't work. I pulled it apart and it's not frozen. Before buying a new actuator motor, I want to check the fuse first. Does any one know which fuse controls this circuit? Also, what is the best (most economical) source for this part?
Thanks for any help.
Bob

Also look inside the passenger side of your front bumper for a black plastic ball with a vacuum line going to it. I'm not sure if the newer XJs have this but if that vacuum line comes off of that ball in an older XJ you lose all control of your heater vents.

Vacuum ball is the answer. Trace vacuum line from drivers side firewall around to passenger side in front, behind battery. The vacuum line runs down below battery tray to just behind front bumper. You have a broken or unplugged line.
Had the same problem with my XJ today.

thats what was wrong with my jeeps heat '88' the black vacuum line from the firewall had gotten melted apart.. probably from a boil over. i just took a piece of 3/16" vacuum hose i had lying around and patched the two pieces back together and it work had heat and a/c back on all vents not just defrost
