They don't have much air in them, when I did the rear there was only one bubble from the one side. And I would rather just do it properly the first time. Especially when messing with something like brakes. And besides if I don't fix it now, I'll have to fix it eventually anyway.

calipers are about 30 bux each plus core charge till you take in your old calipers.

For that money I'd say: screw that valve and get yourself a pair of nice new calipers.

Yeah, I just figured if it was your dd and you needed it to get to the parts store, that might get you up and running. New parts is definitely the way to go.

Yeah that is true. But for the next day or so I can use another vehicle till I get the calipers, so it should be just dandy.

Agreed. Get the thing "down in the teeth", of real, full sized vice-grips and clamp it for all you are worth. I've done it more than a few times.

Agreed. I was just messing with my old Celica last week. Didn't want to deal with a seized bleeder so I depressed the piston all the way and bled it from the line connection. Feels OK. If it wasn't non-opped the remaining air would work out while using it. My 90 needed new calipers a couple years ago, the origional lasted about 22 years.
