Default Bit of a burning smell w/fan on mid and high speeds

Hey, guys. Jeep in question is the '93 below in my sig. Haven't noticed it before since I didn't need to use the heater very much until just recently and with it came what seems like a slight burning smell. It's most noticeable on the mid to high fan speed. All the way on low, I don't smell it....It almost smells the same as a heater with dust on it, but I'm not sure. Just wondering if I should be concerned....It takes a minute or two of running the fan for it to present itself.

Just a thought, but maybe something is in the plenum where the blower resistor is mounted, that smells when the resistor heats up when in low fan speed settings..(??)
Maybe removing the resistor & looking inside with a mirror for debris ?
Just some brain farts ..
Mine had a mouse nest in the fan plenum when I replaced the blower motor etc..

Take a look at the plug for the motor and resistor pack- they sometimes melt.

The fan speed switch connector may be toast.

You'll have to remove the A/C-Heat Control Panel to get at it for a look-see.

The switch works, it changes the fan speeds correctly. It's just when the fan is on the higher settings, it gives off an odd smell. Ever smell a space heater that's got dust on it? Very similar to that

EDIT: Oops, you said switch CONNECTOR....Missed that part. I'll check it out as soon as I get the chance.

Could also be crap on the resistor element. Similiar to a heater thats stored in closet until needed.

Ooh, nice! Well, chalk another one up for the to-do list....I remember last time I had the dash apart that connector LOOKED good from what I could see, but I'll definitely check it again.

Check for power there on all settings while in there. Even a good looking connection can be bad.

I know its a bit late but a while back I noticed a burning smell like you. Turns out my fan control switch was toast as well as the plug like the picture above. Now it doesn's work at all.
