Default Best Tire Size For A 3" Lift? ( Metric )

I got a question for anyone out there with experience. What would be the best fitting tire for a 3" lift between the 265/70R16 ( 30.6" X 10.4" ) or a 265/75R16 ( 31.6" X 10.4" ). I'll go with the bigger ones if they'll fit and not look to stuffed. Any opinions? I want the tire that will look the best in there!
Putting the lift on this weekend and buying the tires next week!

Thanks, That is what I was leaning towards. I think the next size up may cause problems I don't need and look to stuffed

Not to point out the ovverly obvious but "look best" is completely subjective so everyone will have their own opinion. If I were you, I would search for the thread that shows many mane lift/tire combo pictures and make your own decision based on the photos.

Well I had 30x9.5x15 with 3" lift. It was good and did not rub and I could flex pretty nice with no issues. I then got retreads that came in large and measure just over 31" and the front tires were a little tight and I am sure would have rub issues when flexing and the rear rubbed bad if someone was in the back seat. Now it is a 2001 XJ with 125000 miles and I did the AAL rather then new leaf packs so there is some sag. I ended up adding a 1.5 Budget boost to the 3" and the 31" tires now look good and no rub. I have pictures of the 30" with 3" lift but I don't have pictures yet of the 31" with the 4.5 (only did it a few weeks ago).

Here are some of the 30" and 3" lift

I tried to give you a wide variety so you can see flex and normal stance of a 3" with 30x9.5x15. As you can see from the flex shots, it is not a lot of room with 30" tires so if you are looking for rock crawling and some good flex (not to mention the poser shots) I feel 30" is max with the 3" lift and I think 31's would be too tight. If you are just street driving and want to look a little bigger then 31" tires would fit. That is just my opinion.

Thanks for the info and the pictures. This is mostly a DD with a little bit of off-roading, plus I am doing full new leafs in the rear. I think the 30.6 X 10.4 should work just fine, but I'm not gonna go to the next size up
