Default Best method for cleaning to find leaks?

Hi all -
I have a 1994 Cherokee Sport 4WD.

What is the best method for cleaning my engine compartment, upper/lower, in an effort to spot an oil leak?
Any products/methods would be appreciated.
Thank you -
Mark

I have been using Engine Brite at the manual carwash since the early 1980's and it works great. Wear crap clothes and towels so you can lay on the floor and hit the oil pan/suspension too.

A warm day helps too.
