bent crontrol arm mount
Alright. So i noticed that my front axle was positioned a little further to one side of the jeep, causing one of the tires to stick out, while the other one was further under the fender. Obvisouly the axle had shifted in that direction somehow. I looked underneat in detail and noticed that one of the control arm mount brackets that are welded to the front axle is bent in that direction. is it safe to say that taking all this apart and either havin a new one installed or the old one bent back will retain the front axles normal positioning under the jeep. Its the only thing that i can see is wrong with it. all the gaps between the body and the shocks/coils/etc are smaller on one side that the other, all leading to this bent control arm bracket. So im pretty sure that it is the key.

A bent control arm mount could have some effect but the main question is are you still using a stock track bar? Also is the axle off centered more toward the divers or passengers side?

Post a picture with the bent control arm. Shifting of the front axle in direction left/right can be caused by a bent track-bar only! A bent control arm will cause the axle to twist, not shift to left or right

He said a bent control arm bracket, and that could cause the axle to shift to one side. He probably has a bent track bar too
