Default belt to tight? idkkk

well i got my jeep back from the shop. then after a week the belt started squeaking. i put some belt dressing on it while the engine was running. and if i spray it while its running the noise goes away. i thought maybe pulley.. but since the noise goes away if i spray on belt while its going . could it be? or will i just need a new belt?

It's possible but I would check all your pulleys. I check them by using a big screwdriver and putting it on the pulley's one by one with your ear on the handle. Just listen for the bearing noise.

seeing as how these things dont have a spring tensioner, maybe the belt is stretching and needs to be tightened down. just a thought.

Mine was doing the same last weekend, It did that for a good week, I replaced the belt with a 55$ one and the noise is gone... Can always go with a cheaper belt though.

Really depends. Some of the engines have one, some (like mine) use the power steering pump as the tensioner. What year is your Jeep?
