i have a 96 xj that has ac is there a way to run a belt with out going around the ac pulley the xj is used only for mud runs so the more stuff i can eliminate the better

 

There is a pulley assembly you can get that replaces the a/c compressor with a simple pulley. Not sure if it's a dealer part or aftermarket, but some inquiries should find it for you, unless someone else posts that has bought it, which is possible.
