Default Belt chirp?

after doing a little wheeling the other day i noticed that what i am assuming is my belt chirping now? its been a week since iv gone and at first i thought it was just from the belt being wet, but after the engine being fully dry it still does it. it sounds like there is a chipmunk stuck in there and is annoying its not very loud but when i'm driving its all i can think of. so is it my belt or something else? if it is if i just tighten it a bit will it stop?

Could be a bearing going out on your idler pulley or tentioner pulley . Just loosen the belt and give them a spin if the bearing is bad it will sound really rough.

x2 what he said.. ^^ If it was the belt it would be more of a continuous squeak.. Not always but that when the belt is loose.. Yours def sound like you got dirt or something in one of the bearings..

if theres dirt or something in it can i just take the pressure washer and spray everything down? or do i have to actually replace one of the bearings

Depends.. how often does it chirp? You might get lucky and be able to clean it off.. Its up to u if you want to go that route.. I would suggest finding the pulley/tensioner first if thats whats making the chirp.. and go from there.. that way you know what it is a where its coming from.. then spray her down and see if that works...

Also try tightening the belt.. first see if it gets worse...
