Default BDS 6,5" long arm VS Skyjacker 6" lift kit?

Witch one is better BDS 6,5" long arm or Skyjacker 6" lift kit, or something else? The car is Chero 4,0 aut. -94. I need to drive on street also, but most of the time offroad in mud . Witch one you recommend? Or is it better to take 8 inch lift, cause the price difference isnt so big between 6 and 8 ? Firstly the tires will be 33 inch, afterward I want to put Dana44 rear axel and 35 inch tyres.

no input on the skyjacker but my buddy runs a '97 with the BDS and he says its great.. he spends alot of time off road and he has no complaints about it. also it has lifetime warranty on EVERY PART of the lift so the odd time he has broken something it has been replaced for free.

hope that helps

Personally I wouldn't put anything from "Skyjunker" on a Jeep. There stuff always seems to be very stiff..

But what about Clayton, they advertise that their kits are the strongest and also lifetime warranty?

He is asking about 4 link kits, not radias arm kits. Speaking from experience Rusty's customer service and shipping sucks.

I have a buddy running this on an XJ trail rig... definately strong and worth the cash.

I cant comment on RC's Long arms, but I can comment on the front coils. After 4 yrs of hard wheeling, they are still stiff. They flex OK, but are rough riding on the road.

Keep in mind with any Long arm kit you have to cut the LCA brackets off. This will definately affect your resale value. I have wheeled a MJ with RE drop brackets and stock control arms with their hd trac bar and brace, and it flexed like no tommorow. Icould literally use all of the 60" hi-lift before my coil woudl unseat.

RE drop bracket with 6.5 coil and 33's

This is with the Terra Flex LA upgrade w 6.5 coils and 35's

RK 3 link with 4.5RC coils and 33's

All of my rigs have had the fenders hacked as high as possible. I also use my inner fenders for bump stops. The smoothest ride as far as a street ride was the RE setup. The RK 3 link is by far the best flexing kit, but does have some funky handling traits, because it is a 3 link. The Terra flex kit rode nice on the road, but didnt handle off road that well.

I will second that. I have Skyjacker front coils. They are stiff. I ordered some RE that will arrive today. Another thing is that the 6" coils on my rig were really 8" coils. 25 1/2" from the center of the hub to the bottom of the flair. I called them and said what's up with this and they said everything is right. I imagine that if you had an 8" kit it would turn out ten. You would be looking at a high steer for sure at that height.

i wouldnt put money on either of those kits

skyjacker=pricejacker

bds does have the lifetime warranty. but that warranty is no good when you are stuck in the middle of the trail. i am not a fan of their trackbar setup particularly.

x2 I've got 5" skyjacker on my '92 and its so stiff I'm gonna change coil springs ASAP. Their springs are rated at 218LBS while most are 150-180LBS (not sure what BDS are). Everything else on the lift is nice and beafy but the springs are stiff as rocks!
