Battery temp sensor

Is there anyway to bypass the battery temp sensor in a 1997 jeep cherokee

Engine: 4.0L HO

Might not be a good idea to bypass the battery temp sensor.....it sends a signal to the PCM which intern signals the alternator to vary the battery charging rate.
