bad motor mount ? help

bad motor mount ? help
my 98 xj 5 speed runs and drives great exept when i turn it off. it makes about 6 cuick knocks. powpowpowpowpow. almost sounds like someone knocked on a door really fast. a friend told me its the engine bouncing in the loose mount. i dont know what it is

Mine makes noises like that once and a while on mine it is the exhaust hitting the trans.

Open the hood and have someone put the jeep in drive and step on brake HARD then give it a little gas and see if the motor moves near the motor mount. Please make sure you are not standing in front of jeep...Tj

Im actually having the SAME problem with my 1998 5-speed Cherokee, I was guessing it was a motor mount also but I havent been able to check it. Let me know if you find out if thats the problem.
