bad alternator=high rpm misfires?

my 91 xj is misfiring at higher rpms,its fine at low rpms,i did the self diagnostics test,it gave me a code 41(alternator issue) could this be the reason for my higher rpm misfires?

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
It very well could be. It requires a minimum of 9.6 volts to keep the coil firing, the injectors to function, and for the computer to function.
