Remanned is most likely what you'll have to go with.
I got lucky and just snagged an AC Delco 100a off amazon prime (1 left at the time) from AC Delco's store for $80 shipped. I'm actually not even 100% sure if it's remanned or not, but I don't really care.
That was easily $30 cheaper than any other option I could find other than duracrap.
I will be doing mine tonight, and hope that it fixes my alternator issue (the other alternator thread that no one has responded to, most likely because I was very specific and there shouldn't be any other issues and I have to just man up and swap out the alt to eliminate it as a possibility)

Yeah I don't have time to order it online. I gotta go home from school Friday so part stores are my only option. So I'm gonna just go with napa. And good luck changing yours. Hopefully it fixed everything

I must be lucky one. 2 years with a duralast 117a alternator and she's still running strong. Had no choice but one night buy from there, nowhere else open, when my alternator crapped out the day before Sandy.

I suppose you all know, but we use to just fix them. The bearing is still around $5. Brushes a bit more. Test the rotor for continuity and not grounding. Stator is hardy and easy to test. (same, continuity all over and not grounding) Diodes...easy to test, but often the leads are soldered so it takes a little time and experience.
With the shop needing to pay rent, insurance, power, on and on, it just got more practical to get a reman from China or Mexico or somewhere.
Btw, internal regulator to 90, 91 HO and on, it's in the PCM, if I have that right.

They make it tough sometimes. Last starter issue, the solonoid housing is crimped so there is no servicing it, then the new is solonoid priced so close to the reman.....Better now with the net. You CAN find cheap brake caliper rings, (if you can wait for shipment)
