I changed the oil last week and I've been noticing fluid leaking from the tranny pan area now. So I was looking under the jeep today and noticed this..... not sure if this is the problem or this is a major problem? Thanks for any help you can give this XJ NooB.

What are we looking at? The bent dust shield? If so, that is no cause for leak or alarm. Is it transmission or engine oil. It ends up there when valve cover leaks or rear main seal. I would loosen those 2 bolts and straighten that piece so no mud or little rocks get in.

I wasn't sure when I seen that piece bent out if that was bad, but after I have been looking more into this area it looks like its oil leaking from around the oil pan bolt.
